Mabulani is home to a number of bird species which will intrigue the avid bird watcher. The prolific birdlife include many rare specimens including the Cape Vulture, the Blackbreasted Snake Eagle, Martial Eagle, Pygmy Kingfisher and the Fierynecked Nightjar.
